AKI’s Women’s College of Arts Science and Commerce

 Y & M Anjuman Khairul Islam Trust has marked yet another milestone on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd October 2019. We have laid the foundation stone for Anjuman Kahairul Islam’s Women’s college of Arts Science and Commerce Thane. 

AKI School, Mahigiri Thane is one of the first and only Urdu medium school in Thane. A vacant acreage next to AKI School has been acquired to set up the proposed venture of Women’s College.

            Being the esteemed and one of the oldest organization of Maharashtra, AKI has always strives and envisaged to uplift the underprivileged section of the community and proved to be gender neutral. 

Nisar I Patel, Chairman, Y&M AKI said, “Our focus is ‘‘Tarbiyat’’ of generation next. History is the witness that Modern & Moral educations have created Great Personalities beneficial for the humanity & the World.”

Dropped out ratio among Girls are due to financial constraint and lack of Quality Educational Institutions nearby, he observed. “This College will provide the opportunity to those girls who are facing this scenario.”

Hani A Farid, Gen. Secretary of Y&M AKI said, “Girls and women education is the need of the hour as most of the things women do better than men. Girls Education is not only essential but also necessary for the growth of the nation.”

AKI’s Womens’ College of Thane will serve the long need of the girls, living in Thane, Kalwa, Mumbra, Kalyan, Ghtakopar, Vikhroli, Mira Road, to pursue Higher Education in their area.

The proposed college will consists of 

  • Junior College ( Eleventh and twelfth) 
  • the graduation and post-graduation courses in the streams of Arts Science and Commerce
  • Vocational Courses and Skill development programmes such as Diploma courses in Information Technology, Paramedical courses such as Diploma in Lab technician, Physiotherapy, Dietitians and Nutritionist, Dialysis Technicians, Fashion and Apparel designing, Tours and Aviation etc. 
  • Intake Capacity is 2500 students. 
  • Teaching and non-teaching staff would be 175 in number. 
  • 40,000 square feet proposed college plot.
